平安時代中期に成立した、第三番目の勅撰和歌集。歌数は約1350首。
公開資料は弘化3年（1846年）藤原守業による写本で、所蔵者であった初代福島県令（知事）清岡公張（きよおか　ともはる、1841～1901）の朱書入り。

“The Shūi Wakashū” is the third imperial anthology of waka from the Heian period in Japan.
It was compiled by Emperor Kazan in about 1005. It contains 1,351 poems.
“Shūi” means “Collection of Gleanings”.
“The Shūi Wakashū” is a simple and elegant singing style.
Especially love songs are appreciated.
The person who admitted “The Shui Wakashu” as an imperial anthology for the first time is Fujiwara-no-Teika.
