北朝時代の仮名遣い書で、貞治2年（1363）以降の成立。行阿（源知行）著。『定家仮名遣』『行阿仮名遣』ともいう。
行阿の祖父源親行が藤原定家の「拾遺愚草」を清書したとき、定家の承認を得て統一した仮名遣いを、行阿がさらに増補したもの。中世以降、尊重された。

Though the pronunciation is the same, there is sometimes a different letter in Japanese. Eg. "を (o)" and "お (o)" , "へ(e)" and "え (e)."
The book explained how to write syllabic letters (Japanese Kana character, "Kanamoji") and enumerated example words, in the Muromachi priod (1392-1573).
Fujiwara-no-Sadaie (Teika) wrote "Gekan-syu" which described rules on how to write Waka and make a manuscript. And Gyo-a extracted a part from this and edited "Kanamoji-zukai".
It was often used by poets in the later periods.
